Through our work, we have experienced and witnessed an urgent need for support in our uniquely diverse communities for workforce assistance, mental health care, and community services. A combination of pandemic-induced demand for care and longstanding mental health and substance use workforce shortage in Rhode Island has continued to unprecedentedly impose barriers which are added to the unique challenges that individuals, students, interns, providers, and small business owners from our local disproportionally impacted groups already face.
To alleviate this, The SabaterLAB Foundation is looking to strengthening our capacity to continue offer training opportunities, volunteers-and-interns-led supported activities, community engagement projects to further reduce stigma around mental health and help seeking, in addition to providing technical assistance for small businesses and creating new jobs. This approach generates more opportunities to upskill our community members with access to advanced essential mental health strategies, wellbeing self-care, and workforce/real jobs skills, all of which play a critical role within a more comprehensive continuum of care to recovery towards pathways to employment opportunities.
The SabaterLAB Foundation aims to maximize all efforts to create and fill key job openings and your participation is critical to achieve this goal. Your assistance is so important and will help us recruit, hire, train, onboard, and retain clinicians and paid interns, as well as find incentives for recruiting, signing, training, onboarding, and retaining volunteer providers for our internship and service program. Your kind donation will also help us offer these critical needs to our uniquely diverse communities and to help our operations to continue build a diverse workforce in the mental health space in Rhode Island as well as trying to meet people where they are to get them the mental health support they need.
Let us know if you would like to be part of our mission!
